HemLEAD Newsletter: Letter from the Program Coordinator

Dear HemLEAD Community,

For many years, HemLEAD has been committed to improving healthcare and promoting patient advocacy as tools to promote lasting impact in the bleeding disorders community. Through our signature programs, SURO and AFFIRM, we continue to identify, develop and train future leaders to expand their leadership and advocacy skills so they can help increase treatment standards across the globe.

This year, I’m extremely excited to introduce the program’s latest tool — the inaugural HemLEAD program newsletter. This quarterly newsletter will be an opportunity for current participants and alumni to learn about ongoing initiatives and activities, and continue the conversation surrounding hemophilia advocacy. The HemLEAD newsletter will serve as a valuable community resource and complement the information you can read anytime on the Global Blood Disorder Foundation and websites.

My hope is that this newsletter amplifies the groundbreaking work that HemLEAD participants and alumni continue to pursue, in an effort for us all to stay connected and engaged for future endeavors. I look forward to a year of continued collaboration, development and advocacy.

Edward Kuebler
Coordinator, Hemophilia LEADership Programs
